La traduction bidirectionnelle de textes sensibles dans le contexte d’un conflit militaire exige une attention qui dépasse le cadre linguistique, car le conflit lui-même reflète en même temps des perspectives culturelles et idéologiques. Cet article met en lumière les terminologies arabes liées au conflit israélo-arabe et leur traduction en anglais, en prenant le cas des termes utilisés par la Résistance islamique au Liban - l’aile militaire du Hezbollah - dans sa guerre contre l’armée israélienne. Il s’agit d’examiner la traduction d’un certain nombre de termes utilisés par la Résistance islamique, principalement par son dispositif de communication, l’Unité des médias militaires, puisque la langue utilisée exprime la stratégie de son discours médiatique. Dans cette optique, la question posée est la suivante : quels sont les termes sensibles utilisés par la Résistance islamique au Liban et quelles sont leurs traductions en anglais ? Pour répondre à cette question et atteindre son objectif, cet article sélectionne un échantillon raisonné de terminologies utilisées par la Résistance islamique au Liban dans le contexte de sa guerre avec l’armée israélienne afin de présenter leurs significations essentielles et de suggérer leur traduction en anglais. The bidirectional translation of sensitive texts in the context of a military conflict requires caring that goes beyond the linguistic framework because the conflict itself reflects cultural and ideological perspectives at the same time. This paper illuminates Arabic terminologies related to the Arab-Israeli conflict and their translation into English, taking the case of terms used by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - the military wing of Hezbollah - in its war with the Israeli army. It aims to examine the translation of a number of terms used by the Islamic Resistance, mainly its communication device the Military Media Unit since the language used expresses the strategy of its media discourse. Drawing on this aim, the question postulated is: What are the sensitive terminologies used by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and what are their English translations?
