Ces images stéréotypées constituent des schèmes ancrés dans la société algérienne. Nous étudierons leur emploi dans le discours journalistique, nous nous concentrons sur la façon dont le journaliste emploie le mot femme et les différents points de vue dont il se fait. Il en résulte un ensemble de qualifications essentialistes qui inscrivent la femme dans une certaine zone de laquelle il serait difficile pour elle d’en sortir. Nous nous appliquons à analyser quelques exemples extraits de notre corpus en nous appuyant sur les outils d’analyse de la théorie des stéréotypes. This article focuses on the image of women (Algerian and foreign) in the speech of “Le Quotidien d’Oran”, a French-speaking Algerian newspaper. These stereotypical images constitute patterns rooted in Algerian society. We will study their use in journalistic discourse, we focus on how the journalist uses the word “women” and the different viewpoints that he make. The result is a set of essentialist qualifications which place women in a certain area from which it would be difficult for her to leave.
