https://aleph.edinum.org:443/7542 مداخل الفهرس fr 0 https://aleph.edinum.org:443/7534 استحوذ موضوع المرأة الشرقية على اهتمام الكتاب الغربيين، منذ الصراع الأزلي بين الشرق والغرب مع الحملات الصليبية، التي حمي وطيسها في القرون الوسطى المسيحية إلى الاستعمار الأوروبي الحديث الذي قسم الشرق إلى دويلات ضعيفة مغلوبة على أمرها. أنتجت الأقلام الغربية خلال هذه الفترة الطويلة جدا آلافا مؤلفة من الكتب عن الشرق، عمدت إلى خلق أسطورة المرأة الشرقية/الأهلية والتعبير عن غرائبيتها واختلافها عن المرأة الأوروبية. أما المرأة الجزائرية، فقد ارتبطت صورتها في المتخيل السردي الفرنسي بوجه خاص، حينما وقعت الجزائر أسيرة، تحت سيطرة الاستعمار الفرنسي في القرن التاسع عشر.
