Située au croisement de la syntaxe, de la sémantique et de la stylistique, l’étude interroge la manière dont le nom propre, traditionnellement associé à une fonction de désignation individuelle et à l’unicité référentielle, peut se comporter comme un nom commun et produire des effets descriptifs, classificatoires ou évaluatifs. Le corpus est constitué de vingt-trois énoncés extraits de deux quotidiens algériens francophones, El Watan et Le Soir d’Algérie, publiés entre 2008 et 2015. L’analyse s’appuie sur les travaux de Kleiber, Jonasson, Gary-Prieur, Leroy et Noailly afin de décrire les configurations syntaxiques et les interprétations sémantiques du nom propre modifié. Les résultats montrent que la modification peut être syntaxique, référentielle ou simultanément syntaxico-référentielle. Quatre types interprétatifs sont dégagés : l’emploi dénominatif, l’emploi métaphorique, l’emploi exemplaire et l’emploi de manifestation. L’étude met ainsi en évidence la productivité stylistique du nom propre modifié dans le discours journalistique algérien, où il devient un outil de catégorisation, de caractérisation et de construction argumentative. تتناول هذه الدراسة استعمالًا غير مألوف للاسم العلم في النصوص الصحفية الجزائرية المكتوبة باللغة الفرنسية، ويتمثل في استعماله المعدَّل. وتنطلق من تقاطع النحو والدلالة والأسلوبية لبحث الكيفية التي يمكن بها للاسم العلم، المقترن عادةً بوظيفة التعيين الفردي وبفكرة التفرد الإحالي، أن يقترب في بعض السياقات من طريقة اشتغال الاسم العام، فينتج دلالات وصفية أو تصنيفية أو تقويمية. وتتكوّن مدوّنة الدراسة من ثلاثة وعشرين ملفوظًا مستخرجًا من يوميتين جزائريتين ناطقتين بالفرنسية، هما El Watan وLe Soir d’Algérie، صدرت بين سنتي 2008 و2015. وتعتمد الدراسة على أعمال Kleiber وJonasson وGary-Prieur وLeroy وNoailly من أجل وصف البنى التركيبية والتأويلات الدلالية المرتبطة بتعديل الاسم العلم. وتبيّن النتائج أن هذا التعديل قد يكون تركيبيًا أو إحاليًا أو جامعًا بين البعدين معًا. كما تكشف الدراسة عن أربعة أنماط تأويلية رئيسة، هي: الاستعمال التسمياتي، والاستعمال الاستعاري، والاستعمال النموذجي، واستعمال التجلي أو التمظهر. وتبرز الدراسة، في النهاية، أن الاسم العلم المعدَّل يمثل أداة أسلوبية منتجة في الخطاب الصحفي الجزائري، لأنه يسهم في التصنيف والوصف وبناء الحجاج. This article investigates an atypical use of proper names in French-speaking Algerian journalistic discourse, namely the modified use of proper names. Located at the intersection of syntax, semantics and stylistics, the study examines how proper names, traditionally associated with individual designation and referential uniqueness, may function in ways comparable to common nouns and generate descriptive, classificatory or evaluative meanings. The corpus consists of twenty-three utterances selected from two French-language Algerian newspapers, El Watan and Le Soir d’Algérie, published between 2008 and 2015. The analysis draws on the theoretical contributions of Kleiber, Jonasson, Gary-Prieur, Leroy and Noailly in order to describe the syntactic patterns and semantic interpretations involved in proper-name modification. The findings show that modification may be syntactic, referential, or both syntactic and referential. Four interpretative types are identified: denominative use, metaphorical use, exemplary use and manifestation use. The study demonstrates that modified proper names constitute a highly productive stylistic device in Algerian journalistic discourse. Propice à des interprétations figurées, ce type de construction suscite notre intérêt, dans la mesure où le procédé rhétorique dans lequel s’inscrit le nom propre engendre des effets de sens spécifiques. Considérant qu’un sens métaphorique est consubstantiel à toute expression figée, notre travail vise à mettre en lumière le fonctionnement stylistique relatif à cette dernière lorsqu’elle abrite un nom propre. الهدف من هذه المقالة هو دراسة الاصطلاحية التعبيرات للغة الفرنسية المصممة باسم علم. هذه الدراسة تهمنا لأنها تسمح لنا بإظهار التفسيرات المجازية، بما أن يثبت الأسلوب الذي لوحظ في هذه التعبيرات أن أسماء العلم لديها القدرة على خلق معاني معينة. بالنظر إلى وجود معنى مجازي في أي تعبير اصطلاحي، فإننا نريد شرح الأداء الأسلوبي المتعلق بهذه الاصطلاحية التعبيرات عندما تحتوي على اسم علم. Our article focuses on idiomatic expressions of the French language, constructed with a proper name. These constructions hold our attention because they allow figurative interpretations. Thus, we want to show that the rhetorical process in which the proper name is inscribed generates specific meaning.
