Cet article vise à étudier l'analyse statistique comme méthode scientifique adoptée dans les études sociales dans ses différentes disciplines. Nous essayons de clarifier les étapes de base adoptées dans l'analyse statistique en passant en revue le processus de collecte, d'analyse et de présentation, la tabulation, l’interprétation des données et de tester les hypothèses statistiques, ainsi que les méthodes de sélection d'un échantillon.
