This article aims to address the issue of the constitutionalization of the Tamazight language as a national and official language. Officially, Algeria is becoming a bilingual country. In this perspective, the article discusses the strategies adopted by the institution in the process of this officialization while highlighting the possible issues that may emerge. In addition, the historical-political prism seems to be appropriate for an objective understanding of these issues. Cette étude s’est focalisée sur l’existence de tamazight dans un domaine très significatif de l’affirmation des langues qui est celui des enseignes publicitaires, à travers une ville de Bejaia, capitale d’une région amazighophone acquise pour la cause amazighe et donc censée être le fief de son affirmation. Cependant, même si tamazight est promue langue nationale et officielle, son implantation sur le terrain est très faible sur l’échiquier des langues utilisées à Bejaia. إن وضع الأمازيغية لم يتغير على الإطلاق كما حدث في السنوات الأخيرة على المستوى القانوني، ولكن ما هو الأمر الحقيقي حول إنشائها على الأرض الواقع؟ركزت هذه الدراسة على وجود اللغة الأمازيغية في منطقة مهمة للغاية من تأكيد اللغات وهي تلك الخاصة باللافتات الإعلانية، من خلال مدينة في منطقة ناطقة بالأمازيغية تم اكتسابها من أجل القضية الأمازيغية، وبالتالي من المفترض أن تكون مركز تأكيدها، وهي مدينة بجاية. ومع ذلك، على الرغم من أن اللغة الأمازيغية تم الترويج لها كلغة وطنية ورسمية، فإن وجودها في الميدان ضعيف للغاية من حيث اللغات المستخدمة في بجاية فيما يتعلق باللافتات الإعلانية. The situation of Tamazight has never changed as much as in recent years on a statutory level, however what is really about its establishment on the ground?This study focused on the existence of Tamazight in a very significant area of the affirmation of languages which is that of advertising signs, through a city of an Amazigh-speaking region acquired for the Amazigh cause and therefore supposed to be the stronghold of his assertion, which is the city of Bejaia. Dans ces représentations, il s’agit d’appréhender l’utilité supposée d’apprendre tamazight, et la place qu’on lui accorde à côté d’autres langues enseignées dans le système éducatif algérien. Cela pour voir si environ vingt ans (1996-2017) d’expérience d’enseignement-apprentissage ont permis aux locuteurs amazighophones (élèves) de se construire une image positive de leur langue en l’apprenant à l’école.En deuxième lieu, nous tenterons d’élucider la nature du lien qu’entretiennent ces élèves entre le tamazight de l’école et la variante locale qu’ils pratiquent dans la vie extra-scolaire. في هذه المساهمة سنقوم بتحليل التمثلات ومفاهيم المتعلمين والمتمدرسين بمنطقة القبائل بخصوص اللغة الأمازيغية. هذه المفاهيم والتمثلات تم انتاجها أثناء عملية التعليم وتعلم في المدرسة الجزائرية. بخصوص هذه التمثلات، سنقوم بتناول الفائدة المرجوة لتعلم الأمازيغية ومكانة هذه اللغة بين قريناتها في المنظومة التربوية الجزائرية. وهذا سيسمح لنا بالتحقق من أن المتعلم الناطق باللغة الأمازيغية قد أنتج صورة إيجابية بخصوص لغتهم في المدرسة وذلك من خلال عشريتين كاملتين : 1996-2017. هذا من جهة؛ ومن جهة أخرى سنحاول أن نفك الابهام عن العلاقة التي تجمع التلاميذ باللغة الأمازيغية في المدرسة والتنوع اللغوي المستعمل خارج المدرسة. In this contribution, we will examine the representations and conceptions of the Amazigh language among learners educated in Kabylia, these representations and conceptions generated by its teaching-learning within the Algerian school. In these representations, it is about apprehending the supposed utility of learning Tamazight, and the place that it is given alongside other languages taught in the Algerian education system.
