The Integration of computer- mediated communication (CMC) in foreign language contexts is becoming a new wave that is noticeably added to the longtime practice of using pen and paper. Students, now, are increasingly interested to such kinds of technology as : computing, mobile, and others. Therefore, the education visions need to be aware of the necessity to incorporate technology in language education. The aim of this paper is to explore the effectiveness of computer- mediated communication as a contemporary medium (CMC) in promoting the students’ writing skill in the foreign language classes. The participants of the study were one hundred first year students of English at the department of English language and literature at Mohammed Lamine Debaghine Setif -2-University. The participants were asked to answer the questionnaire prepared by the researcher to explore whether the use of (CMC) may signify a change in EFL students writing performance. Therefore, this paper reports on an explanatory study of students’ perceptions towards CMC as an instructional method to enhance their writing ability. The study’s findings further revealed that CMC has a strong potential to foster EFL students writing performance and promote motivation. إن التطور الذي شهدناه في الآونة الأخيرة بسبب التكنولوجيا لم يؤدي إلى تغيير نمط حياة المجتمع فحسب بل أفضى أيضًا إلى افاق جديدة لتعليم اللغة ونماذج التعلم على حد سواء. كما ان الاستعانة بوسائل الاتصال كالكمبيوتر في محيط اللغة الاجنبية اصبح موجة جديدة ملحوظة مضافة الى الاستخدام الطويل الأمد للقلم و الورقة,.يهتم الطلاب الآن بشكل متزايد بمثل هذه الانواع من التكنولوجيا على غرار : الحاسوب,الجوال وغيرها. لذلك وجب على المقاربات التعليمية ضرورة دمج التكنولوجيا في تعليم اللغة. وعليه فإن الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو فحص فعالية أدوات الاتصال بواسطة الكمبيوتر كوسيلة معاصرة لتعزيز مهارات الكتابة لدى طلاب اللغة الأجنبية. المشاركون في الدراسة هم مائة طالب من السنة الثانية في قسم اللغة و الأدب الإنجليزي بجامعة محمد لمين دباغين- سطيف 2. طلب من المشاركين الإجابة على الاستبيان الذي أعده الباحث من أجل اكتشاف ما إذا كان استخدام أدوات الاتصال بواسطة الكمبيوتر قد يحدث تغييرا في كفاءة الكتابة لدى طلبة الانجليزية كلغة اجنبية . لذلك ، تميل هذه الورقة إلى تحليل مدى أهمية أدوات الاتصال بواسطة الكمبيوتر بالنسبة للقدرة على الكتابة لدى طلبة اللغة الانجليزية . كشفت نتائج الدراسة لاحقا أن أدوات الاتصال بواسطة الكمبيوترتحديدا لديها قدرة فاعلة على تعزيز مهارة الكتابة لدى طلبة الانجليزية كلغة اجنبية علاوة على رفع منسوب التحفيزلديهم. تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية ، الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية، الإتصال بواسطة الكمبيوتر، المهارات في الكتابة. Nous avons récemment été des témoins de cette innovation de la technologie car elle a changé le mode de vie comme elle a offert des modèles d’enseignement et d’apprentissage. L’intégration de CMC dans les contextes d’une langue étrangère deviendra actuellement en vogue ajouté à la pratique d’utiliser le stylo et le papier. Aujourd’hui les étudiants s’intéressent mieux à ce type de technologie comme : l’informatique, le mobile, et autres. Donc la nouvelle conception de la nécessité de l’intégration de la technologie dans l’enseignement des langues. L’objectif de cette étude est pour examiner l’efficacité des techniques de la communication informatisée. Une communication comme médium contemporain (CMC) pour promouvoir la mobilité des étudiants ‘compétences de l’écrit’ dans une langue étrangère. Les participants de cette étude sont cent étudiants de première année Anglais du département de Langue et Littérature Anglaises, Université Mohammed Lamine Debaghine – Sétif 2. Les participants répondent aux questionnaires proposés par le chercheur pour étudier tous les aspects de l’utilisation de (CMC) si elle pourrait signifier le changement aux compétences de l’écrit des étudiants du EFL. Alors, cette étude a souvent tendance à analyser l’importance de CMC des capacités de l’écrit des étudiants du EFL. L’étude a des résultats révélateurs du CMC qui possède le potentiel solide pour encourager les étudiants du EFL sur leurs performances de l’écrit et favoriser leur motivation.
