À travers une enquête qualitative menée auprès de 40 stagiaires, l’étude identifie les principaux chocs culturels, les malentendus communicationnels et les écarts de représentations. Les résultats mettent en évidence la nécessité d’intégrer la compétence interculturelle comme objectif fondamental dans les formations FOS à visée professionnelle. Plusieurs pistes didactiques sont proposées pour répondre aux besoins interculturels des apprenants, en amont, pendant et après leur immersion. Cette recherche contribue à la réflexion sur la formation linguistique en contexte de mobilité et sur le rôle du FOS comme médiation entre cultures. يتناول هذا المقال التجارب الثقافية المتعددة التي يواجهها الطلبة الجزائريون في مجال الطب البيطري أثناء تربصهم في فرنسا، وذلك في إطار تكوين في اللغة الفرنسية لأغراض خاصة. من خلال استبيان نوعي موجه لأربعين متربصًا، تبرز الدراسة أهم مظاهر الصدمة الثقافية، وسوء الفهم في التواصل، والتباين في التمثلات الثقافية. توضح النتائج أهمية إدماج الكفاءة بين الثقافات كعنصر أساسي في تكوين اللغة الفرنسية المتخصص. تُقترح مجموعة من المداخل البيداغوجية التي تستجيب للاحتياجات الثقافية للطلبة، سواء قبل تنقلهم، أو أثناء إقامتهم، أو بعد عودتهم. تساهم هذه الدراسة في تعزيز فهم دور اللغة كوسيلة تواصل بين الثقافات في سياق التنقل الأكاديمي. This article explores the intercultural experiences of Algerian veterinary students during their internships in France, within the framework of French for Specific Purposes (FSP) training. Based on a qualitative survey of 40 trainees, the study identifies key cultural shocks, communication misunderstandings, and contrasting representations. The findings highlight the urgent need to incorporate intercultural competence as a core objective in profession-oriented FSP courses. Several pedagogical strategies are proposed to address the intercultural needs of learners before, during, and after their mobility. Moreover, teaching English as a foreign language became prevalent, and demand for implementing ESP courses for particular career needs arose. Hence, this work was an endeavour to investigate the difficulties encountered by ESP teachers in Business English courses, particularly in the case of balancing theory and practice in the classroom. For the present research work, the investigators opted for an exploratory case study research at CEIL centre of Tlemcen University. Data were collected via structured interviews with a business teacher and two staff members, a student questionnaire and a classroom observation. Data were analysed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The primary findings from the present investigation were interpreted and discussed in detail. Thus, it was reached that although the teacher considered the learners’ needs when designing the courses to meet those needs, various difficulties were encountered concerning the balance between theory and practice in BE courses. This was mainly because the centre needs to offer a sufficient experience to qualify learners for appropriate positions. Conséquence directe de la mondialisation mondiale, l’anglais est devenu très demandé dans plusieurs domaines pour répondre à des objectifs professionnels et académiques. De plus, l’enseignement de l’anglais comme langue étrangère est devenu monnaie courante et la demande de mise en œuvre de cours d’Anglais à objectif spécifiques pour des besoins professionnels particuliers est devenu plus que nécessaire. Par conséquent, cette recherche a permis d’enquêter sur les difficultés rencontrées par les enseignants d’Anglais à objectif spécifiques dans les cours d’anglais des affaires, en particulier dans le cas de l’équilibre entre théorie et pratique en classe. Pour le présent travail de recherche, les chercheurs ont opté pour une étude de cas exploratoire au centre CEIL de l’Université de Tlemcen. Les données ont été collectées via des entretiens structurés avec un enseignant spécialiste dans le domaine des affaires et deux membres du personnel, un questionnaire destiné aux étudiants et une observation en classe. Les données ont été analysées à la fois quantitativement et qualitativement. Les principaux résultats de la présente enquête ont été interprétés et discutés en détail. Ainsi, il a été constaté que bien que l’enseignant ait pris en compte les besoins des apprenants lors de la conception des cours pour répondre à leurs besoins, diverses difficultés ont été rencontrées concernant l’équilibre entre la théorie et la pratique dans les cours de l’Anglais des affaires. Cela était principalement dû au fait que le centre n’offre pas suffisamment d’expérience aux apprenants qualifier pour obtenir les postes appropriés. Dans le même ordre d’idées, la présente étude tend à explorer les besoins des étudiants de Master 1 à l’Université de Tlemcen, en Algérie, dans le but d’améliorer leur maitrise de l’anglais informatique afin de pouvoir écrire techniquement dans la discipline. À cet effet, le chercheur a mené un processus d’analyse des besoins constitué d’un questionnaire adressé à 40 étudiants de Master 1 en informatique, ainsi que de deux entretiens dirigés vers 10 spécialistes de la matière et de 3 professeurs de langues. Les analyses qualitatives et quantitatives des données ont révélé le besoin urgent d’améliorer la terminologie informatique à différents niveaux linguistiques et de développer les compétences en lecture grâce à une sélection minutieuse de textes en fonction des intérêts des étudiants. Teaching English for specific purposes (ESP) is about defining certain goals and particular objectives to meet the specific needs of the learners. Within the same line of thought, the present study tends to explore Master 1 students’needs at Tlemcen University, Algeria for the sake of improving their computing English to write technically in the discipline. For this objective, the researcher conducted a needs analysis process made up of a questionnaire addressed to 40 computer science Master 1 students, alongside two interviews directed to 10 subject specialists, and 3 language teachers.
