      <link>https://aleph.edinum.org:443/17517</link>
This article examines the integration of toponyms into Kabyle fixed expressions by approaching them as linguistic, memorial and territorial units. The aim is not merely to identify place names within idiomatic expressions, but to understand how these names activate shared knowledge, social evaluations, collective affects and representations of space. Based on a corpus of ten Kabyle expressions containing toponyms, collected through a qualitative field survey conducted from October to December 2023 with fifteen Kabyle-speaking informants from several localities in Tizi-Ouzou, the study combines semantic, morphological and ethnolinguistic analysis. It shows that once a toponym becomes part of a fixed expression, it no longer functions as a mere geographical designator  : it operates as a device of interpretation, memory and belonging. The findings highlight four main functions  : identity anchoring, the creation of mental images, the transmission of local knowledge and the strengthening of community ties. The article also discusses the limits of such usage, particularly the risk of misunderstanding among speakers unfamiliar with the cultural reference and the possible stabilization of local stereotypes. The study therefore contributes to a better understanding of the relationship between language, territory and collective memory in Kabyle idiomatic practices. </description>
