Marvel Comics portrays Captain America as the epitome of American values, embodying freedom, and democracy, and the nation itself as a mythical hero devoted to global peace. As a soft power, Captain America reinforces perceptions of terrorism, participating in its social construction and legitimizing government policies in the Middle East as necessary heroic actions to defend the nation. The comic book “Captain America: The New Deal” (2002) effectively translates real events into words and images, making it relevant to studying international relations. This paper aims to highlight the social-constructivist role of comic books in reinforcing post-9/11 American social doctrine. تمثل هجمات 11 سبتمبر التي استهدفت برجي مركز التجارة الدولية بمنهاتن عام 2001 معلما بالغ الأهمية في تاريخ العالم الحديث. يرمي هذا البحث الى تسليط الضوء على الحدث ودراسته بطريقة مبتكرة من خلال وصله بالكتاب الهزلي كابتن أمريكا : الصفقة الجديدة. ما يميز هذا الكتاب هو تجسيده للأحداث التاريخية الحقيقية بطريقة مثالية في شكل كلمات وصور معبرة، الامر الذي يجعله ذا صلة بدراسة السياسات الامريكية المحلية والدولية. كابتن أمريكا هو تجسيد للقيم الأمريكية المتجذرة في تاريخ الدولة كالحرية والديمقراطية، ناهيك عن تجسيده لماهية الولايات المتحدة المزعومة كبطل أسطوري. إن إثر كتاب كابتن أميركا، باعتباره جزءا مما يعرف بالقوة الناعمة، يرسخ المفهوم المتداول بشأن الإرهاب من خلال المشاركة في بناء تعريفه الاجتماعي. وقد شارك العمل في تشخيص الهوية الإرهابية وإضفاء الشرعية على سياسات الحكومة الامريكية في الشرق الأوسط باعتبارها لحظة بطولية حتمية للدفاع عن الأمة. في هذا السياق، تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى ابراز قوة الكتب المصورة في لعب دور بنائي للموقف الجماعي الامريكي من خلال تعزيز المبادئ الاجتماعية للشعب بعد 11 سبتمبر.
