Ihre Landschaft ist Schauplatz für religiöse, historische und künstlerische Konstruktionen und entbirgt anhand ihrer labyrinthischen Wanderwege und -umgebung ein unerschöpfliches Wahrnehmungsreservoir für ihre Einwohner, Forscher, Besucher und Bewunderer. Außerdem wird in dieser topographischen Konstruktion das Bild des kulturellen Anderen stilisieren. Literarisch gesehen, ist ihre Ortschaft ein fruchtbares Gelände für poetische Textproduktion und eine signifikante Inspirationsquelle. Im vorliegenden Aufsatz wird der Versuch unternommen, die ambivalente Seite der Wüste als polyphoner und transkultureller Raum für mögliche Enonciationsmomente in Karl Mays Roman „Durch die Wüste“ (1892) zu analysieren. Der Aufsatz erzielt somit die verschiedenen Facetten dieses Raums und dessen Funktionalität als Handlung und heterotopisch-poetischer Topos des kulturellen Anderen in Mays Dichtung einer weiteren Untersuchung zu unterziehen. لطالما أبهرت ولا تزال تبهر الصحراء بكونها فضاء شاسعا الناس تاركة تساؤلات في أذهانهم من دون إجابة. فمناظرها الطبيعية مسرح للإنشاءات الدينية والتاريخية والفنية، وتكشف من خلال متاهتها المتشعبة وأرجاءها، عن خزان لا ينضب من الإدراك لساكنتها والباحثين والزوار والمعجبين على حد سواء. علاوة على ذلك، ففي هذه البيئة الطوبغرافية ترسم صورة ثقافية للآخر. ومن وجهة نظر أدبية، يعد هذا المكان أرضا خصبة ينبت للإبداع الأدبي والإلهام. وسنحاول من خلال هذا المقال تحليل الجانب المتناقض من الصحراء كفضاء متعدد الأصوات عابر للثقافات يفسح فيه المجال لفرص ينتج فيها الخطاب، من خلال اتخاذ رواية لكارل ماي "عبر الصحراء" (1892) أنموذجا. كما يهدف هذا المقال أيضا إلى إلقاء الضوء على الجوانب المختلفة لهذا الفضاء ووظيفته كخلفية حبكية جمالية شعرية للآخر الثقافي في شعر كارل ماي. Le désert comme espace fascine encore et toujours l’humanité et suscite des questions à son égard. Sa topographie est le théâtre de constructions culturelles, historiques et fantasmagoriques et, à travers ses sentiers et son environnement labyrinthiques, il constitue un réservoir inépuisable de perceptions pour ses habitants, ses chercheurs, ses visiteurs et ses admirateurs. Par ailleurs, c’est dans cet environnement topographique que se stylise l’image culturelle de l’Autre. D’un point de vue littéraire, ce lieu constitue un terrain fertile pour l’écriture poétique comme source d’inspiration et de créativité. Le présent article tente d’analyser la dimension ambivalente du désert en tant qu’espace polyphonique et transculturel d’énonciation pour l’auteur, et ce sur la base du roman de Karl May „Durch die Wüste“ (1892). La présente contribution a pour objectif d’explorer les nombreuses facettes de cet espace et sa fonctionnalité en tant que topos esthétique, poétique et culturel de l’Autre dans la prose de May. The desert as a space is still fascinating people and stimulating the minds of those who nourish curiosity. Its landscape is the setting for cultural, religious, historical, artistic and phantasmagorical constructions and with its labyrinthine paths and surroundings, it offers an inexhaustible reservoir of perceptions for its inhabitants, researchers, visitors and admirers. Moreover, the image of the cultural other is stylized in this topographical environment. From a literary point of view, its location is a fertile ground for literary creativity and inspiration. This essay attempts to analyze the ambivalent side of the desert as a polyphonic and transcultural space for possible moments of enunciation, using the example of Karl May’s novel „Durch die Wüste“ (1892).
